Cat Care Topics Overview

• Cat Care Tips - We provide suggestions to help you give your four-pawed pal the best of care. Our list of tips covers a wide range of topics, including details on Pouncer's favorite approach to dental care, the Rhino!



• Kidney Disease - We learned alot about chronic kidney disease from both Pouncer and Taffy having it. The disease appears to have not progressed with Pouncer in the last couple of years (he has been asymptomatic for most of that time). Taffy was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease at the age of 16 and her disease appears to be progressing slowly. Her main challenge recently has been dealing with high calcium levels in the blood.  We share their cases, treatment plans and current health status with you.



• Kidney Disease Management - Having two cats with histories of kidney disease, we developed our own perspective on what can be done to manage the disease. Here we offer a list of suggestions on caring for these cats.  This page may be particularly helpful to those who have a cat that's recently been diagnosed with kidney problems.

• Medications And Supplies - We use some medications and supplies on a long-term basis for our pets. It's become necessary to look for the most economical suppliers for a number of items and we've found we can save as much as 60% on items that we've come to use regularly. Here we share a list of suppliers for you to consider if you're interested in doing some price shopping. Our list focuses on medications and supplies used primarily in conjunction with kidney disease, but there are also many products available from these vendors that may be of interest to those with other situations.
